Aly Dalrymple
Aly’s artistic journey is fuelled by a connection to the natural world. She creates intricate textiles that delve into wildlife, environment, folklore and story. Through layers of stitch, paint and movement, her dreamlike worlds are designed to captivate the viewer. Each piece sends a message of change and growth, provoking questions and feelings.
Aly uses watercolour paint and free machine embroidery stitch on natural calico, a combination of media which developed organically. She is drawn to texture, depth and endless possibilities.
Drawing on inspiration from her childhood in the mountains of North Wales, she has a deep appreciation for nature.
Aly takes images from her surroundings and feeds them into her imagination and love of folklore. She transforms what she sees in the real world into the sea and landscapes of her imagination.

Gail Mason
Gail is an intuitive painter/printmaker exploring the ‘Emotional Landscape’ through gestural, semi-abstract, fictive places full of movement, weather, air and space. The work is characterised by exuberant gestural paintings of semi-abstract landscapes.
Looking to nature to inspire and delight, creating fictive environments and revelling in colour which is used to set the emotional tone. Celebrating the spiritual power of open spaces and the cyclical nature of life, the concept of journey both physical and metaphorical is central to the work.
Taking colour for a dance rather than 'a line for a walk’ result in paintings that allow the viewer a space for daydreaming. Offering a sense of perspective, inviting reflection, and celebrating the restorative and hopeful aspects of our world.
Mason holds a BA Hons. in Fine Art and a Masters in Multidisciplinary Printmaking. She has received several national awards for her work.

Michelle Hinshelwood
Michelle is a Bristol based artist whose work focuses on intaglio printmaking. Experienced in a variety of techniques including copper etching, drypoint, photopolymer, collagraph, chine collé. Drawing inspiration from both nature and human experiences her work aims to capture an atmosphere and invite viewers to contemplate the scene and the story therein. Michelle is a member and trustee of Spike Print Studio.
